Winter operation and shutdown needs depend on the feature and its equipment. Include seasonal care in the planning conversation and follow the guidance for the installed system. There is no single shutdown approach that suits every pond, waterfall and water wall.

There is no single timeline for every water feature. Size, excavation, access, materials and weather affect the work. The start date and expected timeline are discussed as part of the project; larger builds started late in fall may continue in spring.
